Four of Pentacles
Keywords: security, control, saving, attachment
A crowned figure sits in front of a city, hugging a pentacle to their chest, with another on their head and two under their feet. Nothing gets away from them. The Four of Pentacles speaks of security, of caring for what you’ve built and staying in control of your resources. It’s healthy to protect what’s yours. But the card also asks: are you caring for it, or clinging to it? When fear of loss takes over, it closes the door to what could arrive.
Reversed
Reversed, the Four of Pentacles shows two paths: letting go of control and opening up to sharing, or, the opposite, spending without limits to fill a void. Ask yourself which one is yours. It can also show that you find it hard to trust others. Look for the middle: protect what’s important, but let the energy circulate a little more.
Love
In love it can reflect jealousy, possessiveness or fear of showing vulnerability. Protecting your heart makes sense, but love needs room to breathe. Share a little more of what you feel and trust the other person.
Work
At work it favors stability, order and protecting what you’ve achieved. But watch out for rigidity or not wanting to delegate. Protecting your ideas is fine; opening up to collaboration can help them grow much more.
Advice
Loosen your grip on something small today: share, delegate or give away something you no longer use. Abundance needs to circulate too.

- 土 Earth
This Four is compacted Earth (土), like the mountain of 戊 Mu that lets nothing through. In saju, too much Earth stagnates; Metal (土生金) gives it an outlet, turning what is hoarded into something useful and valuable.
